Winter Program 2023
Two programs for the winter:
- Socrates Cafe is back!
- We will be joining the Bluewater Association for Lifelong Learning for a professional lecture series. The first lectures on the Climate Crisis start January 12, 2023 and run for 6 weeks.

Spring Potpourri 2022
After two lost years our spring Potpourri Series is back. We will be hosting 5 sessions with interesting topics from April 18 to May 16. The April 25th topic has yet to be determined, and will be updated here when available.
The sessions will be at the Huron Shores United Church at 1:30, except for the last event which is a short field trip.

Winter Program 2022
We started off the Winter Program with a Speaker Series via Zoom. That series is complete and we are now back in-person at the Huron Shores United Church.
The next sessions are a 5 week course titled “The Dirt on Farming” moderated by Nancy winters. See the details below.

Location: Huron Shores United Church, 25 Main St., Grand Bend

On the third Tuesday of the month, we gather for informal discussion and debate about the latest and most engaging news of the time. We choose, by vote, a pair of topics and each member offers an opinion on the first. The battle is joined. The sessions usually run from September through March and perhaps April depending in the timing of Easter. Special Socrates / Social events usually occur in July and August at local residences.
PIL Annual Get-together and General Meeting
Our traditional Christmas Pot Luck and AGM is a go! Please plan on coming to the basement of the Huron Shores United Church on Monday, December 6 at 12 noon and bring something tasty. Get a preview of our winter and spring program.
It has been a challenging year, but your executive is determined to do what we can in spite of the COVID restrictions and offer a chance to learn and socialize in the new year.
We hope to work the November 22nd session on “Insights of a Photographer”, which was cancelled, into the program at a later date.
Fall 2021 Program
Partners in Learning is pleased to get back in business this fall. We have changed our format to single sessions running every two weeks. The first session kicks thing off with a field trip, and the fall ends with our annual AGM / pot luck / Christmas gathering with presentations. Welcome.
